Have you ever noticed how many expert coaches are sitting in the stands? As I remember back, PV couldn't wait to lure Crockett away from Appy. He's had some good years and some down, like all coaches. Can you honestly tell me he has a loaded team? There is not a whole lot of experence on this years team. Be patient,PV has a good coach.
He lost SIX alright seniors last year.
Leave the guy alone! Ya'll are old enough to be out there coaching the 5th, 6th, and 7th graders, get out there and teach them something. Crockett has a teaching job and a varsity team to get ready for.

Everybody is sick of Gate City blah, blah , blah. We don't care if they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves. You get it---nobody wants to here another word about Great City. Now is that plain enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If he needs to go, fire him now and get it over with. Doesn't have anything to do with beating Gate City. There is a coach or two that needs their heads on a platter!!!!!!!!
Well, I hate to tell ya, but as long as they're in the LPD you'll probably have to hear about em. Maybe if the re-districting comes along Clitwood can get away from em then. But until that happens Big Blue is here to stay. And that is plain and simple.
I don't care about them being in the LPD. Just hate seeing every little piece of crap on them. GC beats Oak Hill. Gate City beats University of Kentucky, Gate City gets 8 transfers from Columbia. Know the man from years back. My one question would be. If he was Coach of the Year last year. With a senior laden team im assuming, why would you want him gone, with a young team this year.
And it's not always up to the varsity coach to coach to the JV team.
It's good for the coach to be around and see games and practices.
But if you look at most programs from football on. They are modeled to fit the varsity programs.
Sounds like some need to look at a few other coaches to see if their coaching, what the varsity is doing.
And to be totally honest.
Sounds like some want Coach Crockett gone and someone else in based on their own opinions and wants.
Some times you better thank God for what he didn't give you. And be glad with what he did. Some times what you want isn't what you need.

I don't think anyone is reporting anything but scores on Gate City's basketball games. People also reported the scores when they lost to Elizabethton & Virginia High. There's no difference in GC's posters/fans making posts on scores than anyone else posting scores of their own team. I've got an idea for you, if you don't like seeing a post on a Gate City score (when they've won), don't read it - plain and simple. Some people that frequent the board appreciate being kept up on the Gate City athletic squads since they can't be at every function.

I wanted him gone last year, the year before that, the year before that, welll you get the point. If you've been around this board long enough you'll notice that. I also think it proves a point that a senior laden team at PV cant even make the Regionals with Crockett as coach.
Funny thing about it is that Burrhead WANTED & INSTIGATED talk about Gate City whenever they struggled or lost this past football season, but complains when someone reports a Gate City winning basketball score. He says he doesn't like having to read about Gate City yet he is one of the main people outside of Gate City to bring up the Blue Devil athletic program more often than not. Looks like he only wants to talk about them when they aren't doing well lol. Oh well, maybe he'll mature and grow up a lot once he gets out of high school.
